Application Process

Bell Creek Academy and Bell Creek Academy High School is a tuition free, open enrollment, public, charter school for eligible students entering grades six through eight and grades nine through twelve, residing in Hillsborough County. Our Open Enrollment for new student application is from January 4 - March 1 of each year. In the initial "Open Enrollment" period all applicants have an equal opportunity for admission regardless of submitting an application on the first day or the last day of "Open Enrollment". Applications are available at the school; the application may be completed by downloading the application from our website or by completing the application on-line.

Applicants offered admission to the school will be contacted for enrollment via email and/or official letter with a time frame in which to accept or decline the seat. If a response is not received within the time frame the offer will be rescinded and the applicant will be moved to the wait list based on the expiration of the offer date. If the offer is accepted, a registration packet must will be sent and must be completed by the cut-off date established in order to finalize enrollment.

Preference is given to siblings of students currently attending the school, active military families and employees of the charter school.

A lottery is held approximately 30 days following the close of the application period for those grade levels where there are more applicants than seats available.
